Kristi and the dumb cats :
I dislike designers that don’t take cleaning and maintainence into consideration. That tub will be hardwater hell in a few years.

That video came across my FYP and I had to scroll when she said "cowhide wallpaper" I worked too hard on my fyp to have it compromised with that 😭

That chair alone has me asking so many questions about the designer's choices. Will it actually be used? How is it spot treated? Will it felt? Is it soft enough for bare skin or is it itchy? I don't really mess with wool until it's been spun but even the softest wools do set people's sensory issues off

as a cleaner we can tell when designs ignore the reality of dust. ive entered very rich houses and wouldn't return for less than 1000 per hour 😭

Hey, I thought we all learned this lesson re: fibers in the bathroom back in the 70s? Is our collective design memory so short?

I don’t understand her design style, it’s like for a home that’s not going to be lived in

I feel like being both a designer and a contractor makes you a unicorn. I used to say there should be a natural tension between your custom builder and designer(s) because executing the intersection of the two can make or break the results.

I got quoted for a marble bathtub but then a professional cleaner on TT had her video go viral from this very lady with her wooly ottoman and her bath choices because the prof cleaner said marble is basically one step below chalk. cleaning it is a nightmare. if I was ok with natural pattina marks and my tub was honed and sealed light beigey marble, would I be a client for a marble tub?

Serious question, is your level of skill something that can actually be taught? Like I understand the actual factual portion can be, but the design element, is that level of taste and creativity something that one can actually learn?
