It takes over 1 hour to charge a 18v 5 AH battery via these types of chargers due to the limitation of the cars wiring system, 240 takes under 30 min. ofcourse the 12v charger is cheaper than a inverter setup, just for info purposes

Seems weird to spend $1k on an inverter when a $99 inverter can supply a battery charger easily as they draw very low wattage … or just buy the 12V charger from makita etc.

Yet most tool brands have their own 12v charger that is fairly cheap or can be thrown in instead of the 240v charger
