My Duolingo keeps it fun to learn the language everyday WHILE learning from actual books too. I find the balance very nice. Although its true I started Duolingo a year ago just for me to be engaged enough to one year later decide to start doing book exercises. And it feels so much less intimidating so for someone like me Duolingo means success. I would give up otherwise bc I don’t need the lenguage I’m learning (German) for job or anything, I don’t live there. Now I am starting to see some possibilities. So I’d say try everything and see what works for you. If Duolingo can keep you engaged then it’s better than quitting c:
