alot of people seem to have missed the point of alisons and miyamuras makeover, for Alison it serves as a visual representation of her growth, symbolising her tearing down the walls she built to isolate herself, its reflecting her willingness to try new things, be seen and connect with the group and with miyamura it was to also show his growth, shedding the shy gloomy personality and cutting his hair and ditching the glasses and nerdy look and to show his true self, his grunge style and piercings were to visibly show how he was shunned by his peers, don't get me wrong tho I loved his piercings and his style and I liked alisons hair but it bugs me how people seem to disregard WHY they ditched their previous looks and mannerisms

Allison (the first one) doesn’t really fit in her cause the makeover was a metaphor for her getting out of her shell and becoming friends with Claire! I’m assuming she goes back to her old style when they get out of the detention.
