I moved there in 88. There would have been 200' of beach. The lake was low. Barely any water in the Truckee. It came up while there. Still full. Love it.

it would be nice if touristy things were kept for tourists and let us locals have our secret spots without posts like this blabbing it to everyone out there. we can never enjoy our own hometown without having to deal with crowds. cant even go to a restaurant and have dinner without an hour wait to be seated. been here 43 years now and over tourism is destroying what Tahoe used to be.

PLEASE DO NOT participate and support the horse drawn Carriages in Tahoe or other tourist cities! The abuse the poor horses suffer is well known and documented sadly! SUPPORT TAHOE for all its natural beauty, keep it clean and respect nature in its entirety but please do NOT SUPPORT this long time abuse to these poor horses:(😢❤️
