Doesn’t just help transnsss but other forms of queerness, I realised I was a lesbian as I prefered BL because it didn’t make me feel as awkward as I was too into girls to want to see the, portrayed incorrectly, harmfully, or other things, it’s pretty neat how queer media just helps queer people🤷🤷

One thing I think people overlook sometimes is that for some people the more stereotypically feminine roles and appearances the “uke” in BL gets can in and of itself be a validating thing! Because these characters are presented in a way where, despite things such as softer features or a shorter height, they are firmly male in their identity. It doesn’t make them any less of a man, which can be a source of comfort for men still exploring their identity, or those who feel like less of a man for looking less traditionally masculine.
