Cenote X'ux Ha is a stunning "hidden gem" cave cenote located about 20 minutes from Valladolid, Mexico. The name "Xux" (pronounced shush) means "honeycomb" in the Mayan language, a reference to the many bees that can be found buzzing around the site. The cenote is enclosed by a massive limestone dome with a natural opening at the top, allowing shafts of sunlight to stream in and illuminate the turquoise water below.
