The strongest evidence for this isn’t theological, it’s logical. In John 14:12 Jesus says that whoever follows him will do the works he does, and greater. A teaching that says “you can reach this yourself” produces no dependency on anything outside yourself. A teaching that says “only he could, so come through us” produces an institution. One of those funds buildings and hierarchies. The other empties them. So the version that survived was never the most accurate one it was the most useful one to the structures doing the teaching. Christ was never a surname. It’s a title meaning anointed one, and across history the same state of consciousness has been reached and pointed at under different names: Jesus, Buddha, Krishna etc. Not because these were separate miracles, but because they were the same recognition arriving in different places: consciousness remembering what it actually is.
