Save this post 4 later 🤌 Everyone keeps shrimp, but did you know dwarf crayfish each have their own personality? ❤️ They can be bold and cheeky. When you walk past the tank, they threaten you with claws. Sometimes you put your finger in the water they’re not afraid of your hand. They attack and defend their territory. Taming them is awesome. With regular feeding, they get used to you. Some become so tame you can feed them with tweezers. Breeding them is awesome. They breed super easily in freshwater. Animals mate fully developed babies hatch. No larval stage. Breeders are always in demand. Dwarf crayfish are super rarely bred. We’re always looking for breeders. If you have offspring, you can finance your hobby a bit. 20 liters is enough. Smallest species grow to only 2 cm. They don’t eat plants. Perfect for planted aquariums. They eat planarians and pests. They keep your tank free from pests. No heater needed. Room temperature is fine. No cold phase needed. No winter stress. Why dwarf crayfish are so awesome: 1 They belong to the smallest crayfish in the world. 2 Cambarellus are small, only 2.5-4 cm in length. 3 Color can change depending on the environment. 4 They come from North & Central America. 5 They thrive in medium to hard water. 6 Not strictly nocturnal, can be seen during the day too. 7 Some get so tame you can feed them with tweezers. 8 Feed NatureHolic Cambarellusfeed and breed well.
