Why sounding these /a/ and /u/two different sounds as the same? Don't you think it can demotivate learners, especially children below 9 yers. In my case I sound /u/ as /woo/,wuu/ as opposed to /a/.

those two-lettered words are opened syllabled words so the final letter will not make a short vowel, it will make the long vowel sound which is saying the letter name eg. me is for meeee and not meh
