I've always described hygge as 2 things. 1; a feeling like a warm candle flickering brightly in your chest fed by oxygen that comes from whatever you are currently doing. yes, it is enjoyment and contentment, but I can feel content without feeling hygge. I can enjoy an activity without finding it hyggeligt. hygge involves no social stress, it is just a feeling of being completely you. 2; a spontaneous mood that appears when several people have this same feeling at once - importantly, regardless of surroundings and number of people, this feeling connects you in a way that means it always feels intimate and personal. hygge cannot be impersonal ever, at its core, it is a personal and intimate feeling.=> I do not speak other Nordic languages fluently, but I would be curious to hear someone from each country say how they would describe mys, koslig etc. it might be exactly the same after all.

how about "mökkihöperö" 😁 the "cabin feaver" is too negative and "cabin feaver" from word to word would mean "mökkikuume" in Finnish which means "the urge to buy a cabin" 🤣

We in Iceland also have a word "huggulegur" or "huggulegt" its more like the danish "hygge" rather than "kósí" 🤓☺️
