@brittonadventure: Japan was one of our favourite countries, but if we did it again, we’d spend more on accommodation. We tried to keep costs down in Tokyo and chose a budget apartment. The problem? Japan is BUSY. We were walking miles every day, navigating train stations, crowds, and sensory overload. By the end of the day, we all wanted somewhere comfortable to switch off, but our apartment was tiny with no view and really just somewhere to sleep. If you’re travelling Japan with kids, I’d personally just take the hit and put a bit more of the budget towards accommodation.
