My oldest brother and I have a 10 year age gap so when he was like 16, I was 6 and he was babysitting me and I saw on his phone it said “mum ice” and “dad ice” I was so confused why people would name their children mum and dad like I thought those were siblings with the last name ice

if you’ve an iphone you don’t need to do that, you can just set a contact as your emergency contact

Yep, had to change that 😭 (if you have Apple, add them to your emergency medical id in the health app, it can be accessed from the lock screen in case of emergency)

my family does this and i actually don’t think it’s going to do anything in an actual emergency- if you’re unconscious how is someone going to unlock your phone? and even if they were going to use siri to call someone how many people would know to ask for ‘ice’, it seems like a really specific and niche thing and most people would probably just say siri call ‘mom’ or ‘dad’
