@digestwithdan: Dim cosy Japanese Bar Vibes 📍𝗠𝗼𝗸𝘂 🍶🦆🍚 @Moku Sydney is a dim, intimate little Japanese wine-bar situated in Surry Hills providing that awesome mix of refreshing cocktails and decadent bar food. Saving a spot like this in your back pocket is heaps good if you're looking for that delightful little spot to sit back and relax. On the table: Potato Gem Hojicha Smoked Cream Scallop Aburi, Ikura, Wakama-bacon vinaigrette, lemon mrytle Chicken and Leek Tsukene Wagyu Beef Don Hojicha Smoked Duck Breast We got a couple of highballs to start with and both of these were absolutely refreshing. We came about a week before they switched to their winter cocktail list but if you love your drinks, don't worry you're in brilliant hands. Both tasted lively and boozy. On the food front, we kicked things off with the potato gem hojicha cream with a dollop of caviar. Lovely little bites. On the starters, we had a light dish in the scallop aburi. Thinly sliced super refreshing. The Chicken and Leek Tsukene was an absolute highlight. The mince was flavoured really well and the sauce was top notch. For the heavier stuff, we got the wagyu don. What's not to love here. Wagyu beef and rice. Enough said. The Hojicha Smoked Duck Breast was another phenomenal dish. If you love your duck breast, you'll be pleased. Medium, crispy skin and a deep sauce with underlying sweetness. Take your partner or friends this weekend over to Moku to grab a few drinks and bites.
