We changed my dogs food when he hit 12 and it made a huge difference. He’s 14.5 and still full of life. Still has full hearing and eye sight. Vet couldn’t find any joint pain at his last check up.

We found the food thing as well, our dog started getting ill around 11-12 and when we changed her food to some eyewateringly expensive specialist stuff she fully recovered and is now approaching 17.

what vets do you all have. mine told me that you should start Early with the food change (around 8 years, depending the breed).my chi got Senior food at 7 ,is now 11 and healthy as shit. (only problem are her joints but even that is Minor.
