I went for years with issues around painful sex after numerous visits to the GP and no answers. Only to discover I was going through early menopause and this was vaginal atrophy. I was in my early 30’s.

If it helps anyone, my mom feels so much better after and mentally clearer now that her hormones are stable now that she’s finished menopause. It’s just a phase you can get help with, and I look forward to the clearer mind and wisdom she has now, without painful periods or mood swings.

Luckily is 21 century medicine been expanded. Thanks god to HRT and to progesterone and estrogen creams we can maintain the youth and and not feeling the side effects from peri and from menopause.

Vaginal atrophy is no joke - it's incredibly painful and can be difficult to talk about. Help is definitely available if you can find a sympathetic medic. I did - thank God!
