Fan fiction about events currently happening - genuinely wild

This would have made sense if England won the World Cup, such an odd thing to make at this time

I don’t get this. Obviously the play did well, but this is like a parody of what happened. Minus Southgate the rest of the cast are a bit of a joke

This didn't happen though, after Southgate there was Lee carsley before tuchel came in

Gareth also completely bottled it himself. Got us there, but bottled it.

Too dramatic, a world class manager would have won with that squad.

Replace Southgate here with The Deep, then a title card that says ‘Deep’s Legacy’ followed by a Vought logo ‘coming to Vought+ soon’, and you’ve got a pretty spot on ‘The Boys’ scene.

“Oh they’ll be fine” proceeds to cut half that current squad out of the World Cup one 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Extraordinary stats to be fair. I’m an Irishman and still I believe he was desperately unlucky not to lead England to what would have been a deserved trophy.

Spot on. If England find success in the coming years, it will be success built on the foundations that Southgate laid.

Football fans are too caught up on trophies, I understand that’s the dream.. but there are things we can applaud and look back on as ‘success’ without having a trophy on it.. Polish fans will always remember they finished third at two World Cups, Croatia will never forget their team that came second in the 2018 World Cup, Hungary and Sweden will still speak about how they finished second at World Cups in the past.. I prefer to see it as coming second rather than being losers.. second best team in the competition, silver medal, it’s rewarded. Is it disappointing getting that far and losing? Ofcourse.. but can we be a little more grateful.

why are we being gaslighted like they didn't have two of the easiest runs and played some of the most turgid football?
