Every house was a new build once. Its new materials that are used now make a lot of people think they are built badly. Because its plasterboard don’t make it a cardboard house, most solid walled houses the plaster falls off easily. No difference.

I used to say this but Begrudgingly ended up buying a new build cuz it was all I could afford and mine is honestly good as gold, no snags, well built, can’t hear the neighbours or anything , I was pleasantly surprised

New builds are more expensive due to price of the land purchased , materials costs, labour costs etc . They are actually inspected at various stages from footings to pre player to complete before a warranty is issued . The EPC ratings are A/B also so running costs cheaper .
