In that type of pump, my friend, it's not easy to loosen the metal belt and disassemble it and clean the impeller properly; you just have to use a screwdriver.😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎

Why do I have to vacuum every day. There’s always stuff that settles to the bottom. Is it coming from the filter? May there be a break in the plumbing somewhere?

Damn, they still make those old Challenger pumps Those are the worlds worst about getting impeller clogs. I never had any luck with a screwdriver. I just took the band off of and pulled them apart.
