The letter (the Law) kills (2 Corinthians 3:6; Exodus 32:28; Leviticus 20:10; Numbers 15:32-36). 2. The strength of sin is the Law (1 Corinthians 15:56). 3. Those who are under the Law are under a curse (Galatians 3:10-14). 4. The Law cannot give life (Galatians 3:21). 5. The Law brings about wrath (Romans 4:15). 6. He who obeys the Law and stumble at one point is guilty of all (James 2:10). 7. Jesus said that no one has been able to keep the Law (John 7:19). THE REASONS WHY MAN IS NOT ABLE TO OBEY THE LAW 1. The Law is spiritual but we are canal (Romans 7:14). 2. There is nothing good in our flesh (Romans 7:18). 3. Anyone who does good also commits sin (Ecclesiastes 7:20). 4. There are 12 kinds of sin in our hearts (Mark 7:20-23). 5. The human flesh is very weak (Romans 8:3-4). WE ARE NO LONGER UNDER THE LAW 1. The Bible says that we are no longer under the Law and therefore sin cannot have dominion over us (Romans 6:14). 2. The Apostles said that they never gave any commandment for us to keep the Law (Acts 15:24). 3. Those who try to keep the Law have fallen from grace (Galatians 5:4). 4. The Law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ (John 1:17). 5. Prophet Habakkuk said that the Law is powerless to save us from sin (Habakkuk 1:3-4). AFTER JESUS CAME, THE LAW BECAME TWO TYPES 1. The Law of sin and death (Moses’ Law) – Romans 8:1. 2. The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). Note: 1. The Apostle James also referred to “the Law of the Spirit of Life” in Christ Jesus as “the Law of Liberty” (James 2:11-12). 2.
