Nasir Khan Janjua, Former National Security Advisor of Pakistan, offered a comprehensive overview of Pakistan’s evolving national security framework and the emerging multidimensional challenges confronting states in the contemporary strategic environment. In his remarks, Lt. Gen. (R) Nasir Janjua emphasized the necessity of adopting an integrated national approach that harmonizes military preparedness with diplomatic outreach, economic resilience, technological advancement, and informational strength. He highlighted that the character of conflict is rapidly transforming, with modern warfare increasingly extending into non-kinetic domains including cyber warfare, information operations, psychological warfare, and cognitive manipulation. Drawing attention to the expanding spectrum of hybrid threats, he stressed the importance of adaptive governance, coordinated national responses, institutional synergy, and strategic foresight in safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty and long-term stability. The address provided deep insights into contemporary security paradigms, emphasizing that national resilience today depends not only on military capability, but also on economic strength, narrative coherence, cyber preparedness, and societal unity. Lt. Gen. (R) Nasir Janjua also underscored the importance of informed policymaking, strategic communication, and intellectual preparedness in navigating an increasingly contested and unpredictable global landscape.
