The name was chosen from four distinctly Scottish options provided by the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland, the wildlife conservation charity that runs Edinburgh Zoo and Highland Wildlife Park. The other options for the capybara pup were Tunnock, Toddy and Tablet. Fans of Bru catapulted the babybara to viral fame after noticing the youngster’s undeniable Scottish charm. The pup, whose birth was announced by the zoo last month, has captured the imagination of social media users around the world who have fallen for their clumsy antics.
