I didn’t know there wasnt just cap Morgan spiced and the one time I ordered it I had to double check how long I was there and if I didn’t get high with coworkers after a long holiday shift in the food industry bc I was sure I was losing my mind too exhausted at the time

Why does there need to be code? “Whiskey with no ice, please” works pretty well. If a bartender corrects my request to fix my wording that’s reflected in the tip.

As a bartender, when people tell me “whiskey straight up” I know they mean neat. I do my best to educate without being condescending about it, but a lot of people just don’t know the proper terminology.
