Unfortunately, more people than not in this community know too well about it & feel the brothers’ pain. During recent years some experts analyzed video footage from the trial only finding Erik & Lyle’s testimonies valid. Dr. John Paul Garrison, Clinical & Forensic Psychologist (Dr. G Explains/YouTube), points to body reactions like distress or disassociation, body language & regulations, emotional expressions, PTSD & explaining why Erik & Lyle reacted the way they did. We’ve got a vegetative (autonomic) nervous system which acts largely unconsciously regulating bodily functions & comes with a series of symptoms from elevated heart rate to sweating, shaking, elevated breathing, coughing, swallowing… Experts during the trial explained how abuse & trauma alters & rewires the brain. Many of such symptoms can be seen from both Erik & Lyle.
