I did 25 years straight feds ,I been home 9 years as well. Mentally I have ups and downs but nobody knows this because I deal with it internally. I’m blessed because i try and keep Allah ( God ) first so I also make a decent living and I have peace my circle is small and I’m okay with this . I love me 🖐🏿

I did 12 years in the feds. I tried explaining this to my family and my children's mothers hoping that they'd understand. But they don't and they probably never will. Lost my son's mother too. It's like my interactions with people are just off and awkward. I can't seem to make genuine connections. It's just weird like that. It's very difficult to explain.😥

I’ve been home 9 yrs I’m not where I once was or would like to be but I’m making it and everyday I wake up I get a chance to get better.I realize long time ago ain’t nobody gonna same me but me and that’s all the motivation I need to keep pushing. I know everyone situation is different but you gotta find the strength to keep pushing. If I made it through 10 yrs of hell I know ain’t nothing on the outside stopping me from succeeding but me and I will never fold not never 💪🏾💯

The Brother is speaking Truth. I did 18 Calendar years. I’ve been home 9 1/2 years. I concur, no one wanted to hear my story until recently. I started getting real traction about two years ago. It’s tough coming home with a changed heart and mind and everyone from the past remain the same and want you to be the same person.
