Swamp coolers only work in areas with dry heat. In areas with humidity, you don't get the evaporative effect. Dry heat goes in thru the wicking surface, water evaporates, cooling the air temporarily. In humid areas, hit moisture just gets blown right thru it.

swamp coolers are ineffective in high humidity areas, they work best in the southwest where it is hot and dry

BUILD THE STRUCTURE WITH GOOD INSULATION FIRST. build it tight, air it right. you can cool or heat an entire space with small units this way

Swap coolers like the ones you just profiled are designed to be used outdoors or in large open areas like warehouses or body shops where mini splits would have zero effect.

I think these are more for open spaces where there's no doors or the garage doors are always open. We have a big one on our porch. It's the only way we can be out there in the summer.

these swamp coolers will also only work in dry climates. if the air is already too humid they don't work
