for a different model: relativity does not go far enough: mass does not distort spacetime, but mass IS spacetime. space and time are fractal. the universe is fractal, and evolving and expanding fractally, not like a balloon, but more like a tree. with spacetime "growing" from outside the universe. gravity does not exist as such, but is a "byproduct" at larger scales. there was no Big Bang, there is no dark matter, no dark energy, no singularities. for a different model, see Tiktok @wim2338.
