I don’t think this is a bad trade at all. He traded when the boxes were cheaper, still made a good chunk of cash, and he traded for modern slabs that still have room to grow. A lot of the sets are still being printed, and when they go out of rotation those chase cards will skyrocket. A lot of older stuff doesn’t grow in price at the same rate some of the newer stuff does. As long as both parties are happy with the deal, then it’s a good deal.
