1.The five second pause before reacting 2.Stay 10% longer than you normally would which builds your window of tolerance. 3.Do the one thing you’ve been avoiding. 4.Replace “what if” with “even if” basically meaning you brace yourself for whatever might happen and builds confidence 5.Talk about your symptoms less 6.Call a false alarm, there’s no danger call it out. 7.Just aim for good enough not perfection. 8.Live towards something

I feel like in the summer I live and have less episodes. As soon as winter comes and life slows down it goes downhill fast.

This is actually the best video about anxiety that I ever watched. I’ve been fighting anxiety for 8 months after a huge panic attack and now I started slowly getting better. The microhabits this guy presented are the habits that actually helped me.

I completely agree besides the not talking about symptoms. when i'm having a panic attack while driving and i explain my sensation to my mom on the phone she doesn't say you'll be ok, she just listens and it allows my brain to compute what's happening. bc i silent panic, if i say i'm dizzy, my blood pressure is getting high out loud, it actually gives me more of a reality check and snaps me back. no reassurance from the person just saying what ur feeling out loud to put perspective on it. just what works for me!

How does this work with intrusive thoughts for example in your relationship? Or, my anxiety is often triggered by nausea (I have a fear of throwing up), there’s not necessarily a situation I can get away from or something I can do that I’ve been avoiding…

Your content is super helpful and on point. I avoided driving in the Highway and I’m slowly exposing myself to driving in the highway again. I relate to everything you said.
