so my baba who i was half raised by was a slave. in germany during wwII. she got reparations in the form of a pension every month mailed to the USA from germany. so absolutely you are right. they were "freed" just to be placed into indentured servitude basically another form of slavery

African Americans were told they would get 40 acres and a mule when slavery ended (most did not). native Americans are supposed to have certain plots of land ect.... it's sad. makes me sick.
