That’s ultimately why I was done. The anxiety caused by being ignored wasn’t worth it anymore. And he would get mad that I was upset about being ignored all day.

How about 8-9 months into a relationship. You text Friday morning when there were full weekend plans in place. Then don’t hear a word or return text till Sunday afternoon. After a text saying “hey, a bit concerned, are you ok? Wondering if should call hospitals?” Then to finally get a reply “hey, just needed to cocoon for a while.” 😠

I dated a guy who when i would ask if he wanted to do something he would respond with “it’s possible” or “we’ll see” and I’d wait around all day for him to answer, declining offers from friends in case he said yes. Never again

I’d ask my ex (avoidant) out for dinner and she’d reply with “sure if I get hungry later”. Leaving me in limbo all day. Then when dinner time came she’d either not reply and say she “fell asleep” or simply say “I’m not hungry” and then disappear until the next day. Wild times. Can’t believe I lived like that.
