It’s going to take a few nights of some crying and rough sleep, but he’ll adjust. It’s heartbreaking but you’ll both get through it! We weaned my toddler at 14 months and then the binky at 18 months…both terrifying but easier than I expected.

It’s so hard. My son was almost 2 and still waking up multiple times a night to comfort feed. I just had to say no more. It was SI HARD. He cried and cried the first 2-3 days. I doubted myself and wanted to cave in but I knew if I did it would be harder during my next attempt. After the first week he would sleep through the night. You just have to decide no and DO NOT GIVE IN. It’s hell girl but so worth it.

I just try not to feed her most of the night now at almost 14 months and then rock her or pat her when she cries and she usually forgets she wanted it lol

Honestly if you want to cut him off he is going to cry and you are just going to have to let him. At 18 months he’s more than ready to sleep through the night. Changes like that usually only take 2-3 days for them to understand.

I would try sleeping in a different location than him or staying somewhere else for 2-3 days at night. I wonder if there is a magnesium glycinate supplement for his age

tell him no for 3 days and he will get over it :) hug him extra, watch a movie with him, scratch him. -a mom that got tired at 18 months and stopped cold turkey (at night) 🙂↔️

Hey, I used SUCKERBUSTER Baby Breastfeeding Weaning Balm Stick (it's available on Amazon) to get my son to stop breastfeeding. It took him a week to get used to no nighttime feeds. The tantrums will get easier as they adjust. I would rock and cuddle my son to sleep as he adjusted to no more breastfeeding.

You gotta be stronger than the tantrums. You’ll fail toddlerhood 😅 you should talk to him tell him he’s now allowed to eat at night anymore but he can nurse anytime during the day. Usually takes like 2 days max 3. The cries will be constant but comfort with hugs and head rubs so he knows you’re still there.

So I cut my second off at 2 weeks from night feeds except 1 because my first bf for 2 years and 7 months we didn’t sleep through the night till the day I stopped ahah so I knew what I had to do second time around unfortunately idk about 18 months 😭 maybe nurse to sleep and then just comfort when he wakes at night
