tourette’s sit still challenge - 6 years later!!💜 video 5 for TS awareness month🫶🏻 it might be hard for people to understand this challenge (tourette’s friends will get it) since i can easily go a lot more than 15 seconds without ticcing, as you’ve seen from other videos. (depends on the day though i wont lie😅) this video does not mean i cannot do that. if i am reading a book, drawing, painting, etc i can have barely any tics at all within a whole hour. if i get comfy lying on the sofa with pillows, blankets, my tics can disappear. so why is this challenge so difficult? ❓ simply because i am actively trying not to tic! and the way tourette’s works, the more you are aware of trying so hard not to do it, the more likely it is to happen. there is nothing distracting me, nothing to keep me focused, i am sat still not doing anything so i’m much more likely to be ticcing anyway. hopefully that makes sense!💜💟 my tourette’s has been worse lately so i’m hoping this bad spell doesn’t last long. #tourettes #tics #tourettesyndrome #foryou #awareness
