I turned tattooing into a 9 to 6 with holidays and most weekends off. 😂 Honestly I take a fair amount of time off, at least 6 weeks a year all together. I just set financial goals so I hold myself accountable to work the amount I need to and have permission to take time off as well.

I take months breaks and it bothers me sm but i go hard for so long and just get burnt out so fast and it makes me feel so lazy but i physically like can’t do it as much as i want to i havnt been able to find a balance between life work and tattoos

I relate to this 1000%. I started out similar to you. And I was burning out so fast. Sticking to boundaries is helping but still makes me anxious 😅

The Cincy tattoo scene is so pretentious for the most part, specifically the fine line genre. I’ve seen it develop over the last 15 years. Don’t try to fit in. Make your own niche and stay focused on work and yourself.

I just recently posted in my page the hours that I respond to messages disguised as like these are my hours before and after work so I don't feel bad for only answering messages at a certain time and so people know when they will hear back from me
