@wbburney: Here is the blueprint: 📥 STEP 1: EXTRACT THE RAW DATA Go to annualcreditreport.com and pull your files. Open a blank Google Doc and copy the exact bank name, account number, and the precise month/year of the late payment. If you're off by a single digit, the system filters you out. ⚖️ STEP 2: LEVERAGE THE LAW You aren’t asking for a favor. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act specifically 15 U.S. Code § 1681i—the bureaus are legally required to verify the absolute accuracy of an item within 30 days, or they must delete it. 🤖 STEP 3: DEPLOY THE AI PROMPT Open ChatGPT or Claude. Feed it your account data and instruct it to write a formal dispute letter explicitly citing 15 U.S. Code § 1681i. Command it to attack the accuracy, verifiability, and completeness of that specific late notation. 📬 STEP 4: MAIL THE BUREAUS FIRST Do not skip the chain of command. Print your AI letter, attach a copy of your State ID and a current utility bill to verify your identity, and mail it to the bureaus via Certified Mail with Return Receipt. This starts your official 30-day legal clock. 🔨 STEP 5: DROP THE CFPB HAMMER If 30 days pass and the bureaus ignore you or send a generic "verified" response without physical proof, head to consumerfinance.gov. File an official complaint against the bureau, state they violated federal verification windows, and upload your AI letter and certified tracking receipt. An executive review team will step in, and this is where the late payment gets cleared. 🚀 Want to learn more hacks and tips on how to fix your credit?
