All of this. The best thing I learned from people reaching out to me when I lost my daughter was from my corporate finance guy (of all places to get empathy 😂, but he was amazing) — giving invitation not to answer “you don’t have to answer but I’m thinking of you” is so powerful. Sometimes I really could not answer, and removing that stress while being supported was big and I know to pass it forward now

I lost my soul dog suddenly in 2019, every year on her anniversary and birthday I lose it. For Christmas last year my best friend from out of state mailed me a necklace of my dog’s face and a saying on the back. She told me she still thinks about my loss and that she wanted me to have something to think of her. It meant so much to me, I never take it off.🥹
