@claudia.trades: The truth is… I did quit my full-time engineering job. But not without a full action plan. Yes, making trading work was the main motivation. But, I never would have done it without a safety net. Until 2 days ago (I bought a house so will be moving out lol), I have been living with my parents, meaning if things go wrong, there’s no risk of me being homeless or missing bills. That being said, I still had complete financial security through other income streams before leaving. Since I was 15, I have been super into running little businesses and finding every which way to make money. Throughout the years I’ve built up a skillset which will always allow me to make money for myself. For over a year I ran my own tutoring business. I tutored maths, physics, chemistry and biology to high school students, and had over 30 clients. This will always be a skill I could pick up at any time! Right now my main income source is my contract data analysis roles as well as social media management for a small business I’ve been working with for a year or so! The moral of the story is, you can chase your dreams without putting you or your family at risk. It’s just gonna take some long ass hours. I would work 5AM-9PM everyday to make this work.
