"Just use AI." It's a phrase architects hear more and more—but it overlooks what architectural design actually involves. AI can generate concepts, images, and ideas in seconds. But it doesn't automatically understand your goals, your site, your budget, or how a building will actually be constructed. Someone still has to: ✔ Understand the client's vision ✔ Ask the right questions ✔ Develop the design strategy ✔ Write effective prompts ✔ Coordinate with engineers and contractors ✔ Translate ideas into buildable drawings ✔ Ensure the final result matches the original intent AI is a powerful tool, but it doesn't replace professional judgment, communication, or experience. Design doesn't end when an image is generated. Real architecture begins when that idea can be clearly communicated and successfully built. The future of architecture isn't AI versus architects—it's architects who know how to use AI effectively.
