Not her fault, water pumps are a common issues at higher mileage on BMWs and Mercedes and Audis, mine was done recently, it really doesn’t tell you when it’s going to fail no signs or anything it’s on you to do the preventive maintenance or understand the risk

Definitely could check to see if you need any engine work before even just throwing parts at it.

Yeah, it’s not her fault. It’s a water pump issue that you have to take care of that’s why when you rent it. You better make sure the car is in good condition. Check everything.

I’m sorry but I totally disagree. The minute your car starts to overheat you pull over and stop and it warns you when it’s over heating so it was her fault for driving it for 30 minutes hot. When it’s not their car people don’t care.

yeah 270° on a Mercedes engine is like child's Play me and my husband gay a couple we're driving to California in this Mercedes AMG g wagon it's about it was about 2 years old when this happened it had about 12,000 miles on it did I pull over when it overheated fuck that shit I said I will deal with this in California we were just leaving Illinois when it popped up on the dashboard we were driving from Ohio to California with a car trailer to pick up a vehicle the tow rig was down for repairs and we were picking up a client's car so I thought you know what why not vacation while we pick it up my mom restores classic cars I don't instead I took over running her multimillion Dollar business so when we finally decided to pull over into a hotel in Wyoming that G-Wagon had to reached temperatures up to 325 degrees, it never got hotter than 340 degrees so it never went past that so eventually I pull into this hotel and I looked at the thing and I go oh I'm a fuck did a radiator hose pop off I reattach it I drive it over to the AutoZone and refill it with the correct coolant and the fucker was fine I put about 90,000 miles on it before I ended up selling it it it never had an issue though it never drank coolant after the overheating it never needed a head gasket the heads were fine nothing was warped or tweaked nothing was wrong with it now all the other hand I remember I was driving home from California because me and my husband went on vacation and he wanted to drive well we took the BMW X5 and it blew the radiator it got up to 340 degrees and then just died it got towed to a BMW dealership they said it needs an engine I said can you get it running on however many cylinders you can and I go we can try they fix the radiator they get the engine running again by putting new head bolts in it and we drove it home sometimes it ran on 8 cylinders sometimes it ran on two and sometimes it ran on just one fucking cylinder but it made it all the way back to Ohio we drove at 2,000 miles home with an acting like that we never fixed the engine in it we ended up just listing it for parts on the Facebook marketplace somebody came and bought it it was a 2018 x5m
