There’s a very big misconception among cs students that skill is like the key out of poverty which is not true how many tech companies is in Nigeria most companies that take in cs majors are mostly banks,telecom,oil and gas companies and other companies and to get into these companies you need a strong academic presence first then you can show your skill later and for remote job it is clear that remote jobs are now very saturated and stressful is not what it used to be before.if you know you are from a poor background make sure you graduate with nothing less than 2.1 else you will suffer even with your skills

learn a skill, learn a skill it won't be funny that have seen more than ten people already here saying they are software developers.. learning a skill without having the knowledge of making fortune out of it is not something worthy for... let's remove learn a tech skill nd put" learn a tech skill that is not overcrowded" in Nigeria currently except from strong connection how many people wants to create websites , is it the people battling to hold their business.. i personally have used an Ai website that created a full landing page website for me just by giving it a prompt to use... yes learn a skill but don't stay on one skill add two more video editing, data analyts, graphic design yes graphic design its still one of the most digital skills that can bring money fast even if its small especially if u re a man.. there are bills to pay😮💨😮💨
