Can u not bring the whole step 1 inch away from the wall which wouldn’t cause any issues ?? I couldn’t have that vent showing like that. Nice work though

Won’t that cause damp in the house. Only asking as I wanted to do the same but builders say you can’t build above the damp proof bricks
