(So sorry, I was provided with inaccurate info at first and found out this is the girl who does not have health issues, but is scared and spicy) This tiny 9 pound Chihuahua spends her time trembling and trying her best to disappear. She looks absolutely overwhelmed by everything happening around her. Nacho was found as a stray with her brother, Taco. Nobody came looking for them. Right now, she is so scared that she can be very nippy when people try to handle her. Can you imagine how frightening this must be from her perspective? She’s a tiny dog in a loud shelter surrounded by strangers, barking, unfamiliar smells, and constant stress. What Nacho needs isn’t punishment or someone expecting her to instantly trust. She needs patience and kindness. Someone willing to go slow, respect her boundaries, and give her the time she needs to realize she’s safe. She’d do best in a home without young kids. The scared ones are often the easiest to overlook because people see fear and mistake it for a personality flaw. Fear isn’t who Nacho is. It’s what she’s feeling right now. Somewhere out there is someone who understands that trust is earned, not demanded immediately.
