Okay let me explain it to you, The idea that NASA filmed Mars missions in places like Devon Island in Canada or the deserts of Algeria comes from a misunderstanding of why scientists use those locations. These places are often called “Mars analog sites” because their dry, rocky, and barren landscapes resemble some of the conditions found on Mars, making them useful for testing rovers, spacesuits, scientific instruments, and mission procedures before sending them into space. NASA and other space agencies openly state that they conduct training and research there; they are not secret filming locations. Some people see photos of these areas and notice that they look similar to images from Mars, then incorrectly assume that Mars footage is being faked on Earth. However, similarity in appearance does not mean they are the same place. If Mars missions were being faked, it would require the cooperation or silence of thousands of scientists, engineers, technicians, universities, private companies, and multiple international space agencies, which is highly unrealistic. In addition, spacecraft from different countries have independently photographed and studied Mars, all confirming the same planet and its features. The real reason NASA uses places like Devon Island and certain deserts is simply because they provide Earth environments that help researchers prepare for the challenges of exploring Mars, much like pilots use flight simulators before flying real aircraft.
