THANK YOU!! I just graduated highschool (I'm 22) and the reason I graduated so late is because I spent the majority of my junior and senior year in and out of hospitals. People really don't gaf when these situations actually happen irl. None the less I'm super proud I graduated and I'm excited to go to college in the fall!

i’m very pro-education and think everyone should at least TRY to graduate high school, but i also understand that there are nuances. i also think that, if you’re flunking every class and you have no reason to be there, then you shouldn’t be. you can’t force people to work, or to do good, so you might as well let them back out when it’s necessary

Y’all forget the two things could be true at once… Graduating high school is the bare minimum but the bare minimum can also be celebrated.. the bare minimum being accomplished is still you accomplishing a goal. And any goal is worth celebrating if that’s what you feel like you wanna do. Same way parents get celebrated on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day for being good parents, but that’s the bare minimum and that’s what they’re expected to do when they chose their kids… People do forget that there are people in bad situations but those bad situation still don’t change what the societal bare minimum is… It still deserves to be celebrated if that’s how you feel you want to enjoy it

Graduating high school is the bare minimum, and unfortunately some people are put into situations where they can’t meet the bare minimum. At this point in time getting through high school is very easy academically, considering the resources students have access to.
