it's more complicated than another commenter makes it out to be. Israel does not have civil marriage, only through religious services. Gay marriage isn't Illegal, it's just that there isn't a civil marriage, and so you have to find a religious official to marry you. Is that an issue to be addressed? of course. But Gay marriage isn't illegal
