true ego death is facing all parts of your soul and loving them unconditionally. For a woman it is the crone loving the mother and the mother loving the maiden. Truly loving and accepting all of yourself. So you can love others.

yeah I've been hearing Ego death a lot recently and it kinda gets on my nerves. . One thing I saw that I did like that I think was a good explanation of what ego death actually means was a comic strip. . The gist of it was this guy misunderstood how much of an enemy the ego is and asked a monk how he gets rid of it . The monk tells him his ego is beautiful . The guy is confused and asked "isn't our ego our greatest enemy" . and the monk says "it can be, but the ego is our expression to the world, and the goal is to have our ego be a true expression of our inner self, thus the death of what separates our inner self and our ego" . I phrased things in my understanding as I can't find the comic I read of it

in real ego death you are no longer sure you are alive and cant distinguish yourself from objects. its terrifying.

The ego is the subconscious formed through your experiences, memories, and collective societal moors that have shaped you. To grow you have to dive into those unconscious forces and pull them into the light to thoroughly understand them and to shape what needs correction and to destroy those which need to be removed in order to become a more whole and loving person.
