@safehavenhorserescue: This baby was born sometime late last night or early this morning, right here in the pipeline. Not in a safe pasture. Not in a clean stall. Not surrounded by other moms and babies. Right here, in a place filled with horses from all over the country carrying diseases that can be devastating—even deadly—for a newborn foal. This is the reality people don’t see. Horses arrive here pregnant, injured, sick, old, young—it truly doesn’t matter. That’s the pipeline. That’s why we’re here. The problem is that we haven’t even raised enough money yet to purchase this mom and baby and get them into quarantine where they belong. We have more than 275,000 people following us on Instagram and over 800,000 on Facebook. That’s over a million people who may see this story. The heartbreaking reality is that most people assume someone else will help. Someone else will donate. Someone else will step up. But if everyone thinks that, nothing happens. Imagine if everyone gave just one dollar. Imagine how many lives we could save together. Instead, right now, I’m struggling to raise enough funds to simply get this mom and her newborn baby to safety. I need help. They need help.
