As a dog mommy with the same issue, we got the impact crate. Worth it. They also have an option of monthly rentals because the price is a little pricey lol

You need an impact crate. My girl was the same way and was literally breaking nails and teeth to get out. The impact crate is a game changer. She cannot get out and has given up and just relaxed in there now

We make our crates like a den, we keep them covered with a heavy blanket. So when they go in there, they think it's their little private space. If they can see out, they want out.

If he’s really resisting the crate at home but you know he’s crate trained, there’s nothing wrong with using a baby gate instead. Just put it up in a room you know he’s comfy in like your bedroom! It’s worked out way better for us long term
