People think that performance is easy and are comparing to their ordinary jobs. I was a singer for many years, both opera and pop, however, it is exhausting to perform. Using your voice is also exhausting. I’ve worked ordinary jobs and performed on stage. The latter is the hardest.

I was there in Rotterdam Ahoy in 1993. The tour was sponsored by Levi’s and as a gesture we got a free pair of Levi’s jeans. I think the show was ended just after 1 song

Being a young singer in a hugely successful pop band would be a haunt. You can't party like the guys playing instruments, because your vocal pipes are your instrument, and those pipes need rest. So, you have to separate from the apres show 'wild fun' as best you can, or you'll blow your pipes, and then what?.....a lot of ticked-off fans, and potential longterm damage when you force the singing parts!

That’s insane, god bless his soul for that lol. As a musician myself, I would never do back to back days of shows on a tour. Every other day or every 2 days. I’ve did back to back and as a drummer couple years ago and it was absolutely exhausting.

There was a show in Hartford CT, 1993 (I think) that as we all arrived at the Civic Center we were told the show was cancelled 🥺 It did eventually get rescheduled but seeing this now makes sense
