while we're not getting a daggerfall remake. we are getting a soul successor. the wayward realms is in development. and though Julian Lafaye recently passed tod Peterson is still at the helm. so yay.

i’ve put about 30 hours into Daggerfall and realistically for the time it released it actually is impressive. there is a ton of interesting mechanics and role playing aspects of the game, i’m sure if i was a kid in the 90s i’d have locked myself away forever playing it

I remember toonami doing a game review of elder scrolls. the review was true to life when they said, " if you get lost in this game it could take you literal days to get back on track"

Yeah and you can literally walk around Daggerfall for hours and find absolutely nothing. They wisely realized when developing Skyrim that people play games to have fun and do stuff.

This game is empty. You have a few unique towns and nothing more. It was good for its time but extremely limited by technology. Now technology is good but developers are lazy. Imagine Draggerfall remake with new graphic and storytelling on Witcher or Final Fantasy level.
